iCom 2730A Frequency Mod

Modifying the iCom 2730A to allow transmitting on GMRS frequencies, since I hold a GMRS license. When transmitting on GMRS, be sure to set the radio to low power, which is 5 watts, which is the maximum allowed power on GMRS with a license. I believe GMRS without a license only allows 1/2 watt and does not allow any after market antenna.

Not responsible if you brick your radio. Do at your own risk. Also, be sure to abide by the FCC regulations and not do this if you are not licensed to transmit on the frequencies it opens up.
