The Murder of Canny Ong

Canny Ong's Kidnapping, Rape, and Murder is a crime documentary about his kidnapping, rape, and murder. Canny Ong had a farewell meal of steak and fried crabs with her family and close friends at Monde Restaurant, Bangsar Shopping Complex (BSC), Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, on June 13, 2003, the day before she was scheduled to fly back to the United States.

After the lunch, Ong offered to bring her mother home before continuing with the goodbye party. After the meal, Ong returned to their basement vehicle to pick up a parking ticket as her mother and sister waited at the Autopay machine. Ong, however, never returned since she was kidnapped by Ahmad Najib bin Aris, who was 27 at the time.
