The is an old adage, famous in anarcho circles, "Everything government has it has stolen and everything it says is a lie".

I think most get the "stolen" part even if they don't agree, but what about the lie part? Don't politicians and bureaucrats tell the truth from time to time?

Well they at times make factual statements, however, that is not the point of this proverb as we shall see today.
