Norman Dodd served as chief investigator in 1953 for the Special Committee on Tax-exempt Foundations, commonly referred to as the Reece Committee.
The Reese Committee was to investigate large tax-exempt foundations to determine whether they were using their resources for the purposes for which they were established, and especially to determine which such foundations and organizations are using their resources for un-American activities and subversive activities or for purposes not in the interest or tradition of the United States.

This interview with Norman Dodd was by Dr. Stan Monteith shortly before Mr. Dodd Passed away in the early 1980's.
