Spencer Tracy's Robert Rogers leads a company of Rangers behind enemy lines to fire a town of Indians and Frenchmen during the French and Indian War. It all went down near McCall, ID, which doubled as New England and Quebec. Idaho almost bankrupted the studio with this punishing, on location shoot in 1940.
