The AB=CD pattern has been around for centuries, and it can be quite reliable when used properly. Its reversal pattern is easy to recognize, and its backtest results confirm this. You should enter the market shortly after the price reverses from point A to point B, and you should exit at the same time as the price move reverses from point D to point A. The AB=CD pattern requires discipline is key.

The AB=CD trading strategy is also known as the 'AB' pattern. As the name implies, the ABC-shaped pattern is the simplest one. This is mainly because it has fewer requirements than other harmonic setups. The ABCD formation is also easy to identify on a price chart. You should be able to identify it by looking for it in a trend line. You should buy when the AB=CD pattern begins to appear.

If the AB=CD pattern appears on your charts, it means that a trading opportunity is in the making. The final C leg of the AB=CD pattern represents the last turnaround. When this happens, you should sell or enter short at point D, and wait for it to reverse. If you are looking to buy, you should wait for it to complete before entering a trade.
