The Flesh or The Spirit

Which do you think is more fruitful - let the Holy Spirit lead you or follow your own ideas and impulses? Once you have honestly answered that, honestly ask yourself, which direction are you going? - and more importantly, whichever direction you chose, why are you going that direction?
