Rebeading a Tire Using Gravity

This video shows how to rebead a tire on the trail using the materials at hand. It is based on another YouTube video which showed me how to do this. It works by using the soapy liquid to seal and lubricate the bead while gravity pulls the tire down towards the bead.

Note: This was performed at 60F in the sun. When the tire lost the bead, it was sub-freezing, and it is my belief the tire would have been much less malleable and this technique probably would not work.

WARNING: Keep your fingers away from the bead while inflating - when the air pops the tire into place, it does so quickly and with no warning. Serious injury to your fingers may result.
