How to Control Yourself and nothing else

Fear and control are cousins. Do you have to every aspect of your life and others? How about your surroundings? Your wife or husband? Work relationships? Bank account?
What benefit has resulted from that way of thinking? Does your ego need to be stroke everytime you put effort towards a goal or activity? Who wins long term?
Most people move from a place of fear. Is this healthy?
