The protagonist, Kyra, is well aware that her work is not supposed to be anything more than visual art with no music. She has never painted anything with the addition of music. This leaves her feeling like she doesn't know enough about what musical art can do for the brain - how it can make us feel things that we haven't experienced before.
Kyra decides to give experiment with adding music to one of her paintings. As soon as she puts on some background music, she notices something different about her painting - it doesn't look like a screen anymore. The colors don't blend together like they did before and instead they seem to dance across each other.
