Edit: Most of the time its bad faith actors i have seen on YouTube use this just to get away with stuff they are 100% guilty of doing that they accuse opposition of. I have read some examples that makes sense on what Whataboutism would work, in cases of something unrelated to a case, sorta like "Nuclear weapons?" Well USA used it?. That would be a valid example of whataboutism. But if its just to discredit opposition, in context to doing the thing they accuse opposition of and then just blow it off with "Whataboutism" argument, then that person is full of shit and have no respect of holding themselves accountable. Screw those journalist two faced hacks.
