Excuses or do we legit not like bad game design? Or is it because it looks boring subjectively?

Most of the time when people whine about "bad writing, gameplay or whatever" its more, i just dont like what they put into this game on subjective level. Majority wise that is true. There can be sometimes objective criticism, for example. I thought Mass Effect 2 and 3 were ok games, but interms of gameplay of manual crouch, sticking to walls and exploration, Mass Effect 1 is ten times better hands down. But often this is not the case. Let me know what you think?
