A total of 12 DLC characters are planned to release this year after The King of Fighters XV launches on February 17, 2022, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The first wave of fighters arrives when the Team Garou DLC launches in March. Team South Town arrives in May, followed by Team 3 in summer, and Team 4 in autumn.
