Tying The Partridge & Orange and Partridge & Green (Chartreuse) - Dressed Irons

Hook: Mustad 3906, 3906b or 3399, #10 - #16
Thread: Danville 6/0, Orange, Chartreuse
Body: Danville 6/0, Orange (Partridge & Orange) and
Glo-Brite, Chartreuse (Partridge & Chartreuse)
Collar: Hungarian Partridge, Natural
Head: Danville 6/0, Orange, Chartreuse

So these flies are a different take on the Partridge & Orange and the Partridge & Green (in this case Chartreuse). I did a video a few weeks back on the Partridge & Yellow using the more traditional silk thread and thought it would be nice to show that you can make these flies (and they are still productive) if you do not have the more traditional tying silk. The Partridge & Orange is tied using only tying thread and Partridge. The Partridge & Green uses some Glo-Brite in Chartreuse for the body. You can use a floss for the body as well. Or, experiment and come up with something new. I think as long as you call it a Partridge & "whatever" you're good. Anyway, a little fun with soft hackles. - Enjoy
