How to Fight a Mangrove Snapper

Mangrove snapper have a habit of unhooking themselves during a fight. Their frantic swimming and change of direction almost seems clever! I have often had one on the line and I suddenly feel the tension decrease quickly. The fish had started to swim more upwards than down and away! When fighting mangrove snapper, you must keep them tight on the line or they will sure come unhooked.
