Why CONFUSING CONTINUITY Is Still The BIGGEST SIMPSONS Problem (Movie News)

The Simpsons has prided itself on the fact that there is no overarching continuity in the show. But after 32 Seasons, and changing origin stories from Homer growing up in the 1960s back when the show first started to now growing up in the 1990s in the episode "Do Pizza Bots Dream of Electric Guitars", is it safe to say that The Simpsons needs continuity? Or is the show just fine the way it is?
