The Slump Buster is a wonderful fly for stubborn trout and Smallmouth when waters are clear and fish don't seem active. With lots of weight it is great for throwing around rocks, logs and current seams where fish are holding. From a tying perspective it is a fun fly to tie and has a couple of interesting techniques that can be easily applied to other patterns. The Slump Buster can be swung like a baitfish or a leech as well as bounced along the bottoms as a Sculpin. - Enjoy
