Moonjumper reviews O.T.A. (Over The Air) broadcast network MeTV (Memorable Entertainment Television), an absolutely free source of nostalgic, and in some cases, rare classic television series you may not find anywhere else—featuring golden oldies from the 1950’s to the 1970’s (including some you may have never seen before). In this video, Moonjumper gives brief reviews of some of the station’s programming, including the long-running P.I. series, “Mannix,” the original “Mission: Impossible,” which launched a multibillion dollar franchise, “Alfred Hitchcock Presents,” which will deliver chills every time, and “Lost in Space,” the quirky 1960’s sci-fi series which actually began its run as a “serious” drama, bordering on hard science fiction, before reformatting into a “Bewitched” or “I Dream of Jeanie”-style genre sitcom.

In this video, you’ll also see nods and shoutouts to other classic programing on MeTV, such as “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century,” “The Time Tunnel,” “The Rifleman,” “The Twilight Zone,” “Star Trek,” “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (The Series),” and “Planet of the Apes (The Series),” starring film series star Roddy McDowall.

And, no, this is not a shill piece or paid advertisement (unfortunately—Moonjumper could use the money). This is an unbiased, unsolicited review by a lover of great television—and, surprise! Yes, there really was great television before Netflix or HBO—some you may not even know about! (It’s not all Lost in Space!) And there’s no pricy streaming or cable charges involved if you have an antenna, which is great in tight times like these. MeTV is broadcast nationwide through local television affiliates, but is also included in cable packages as well.

At the end, Moonjumper also previews some upcoming topics, including 70's sci-fi series, “Space: 1999,” starring Mission: Impossible alums Martin Landau and Barbara Bain, and the current day (and eerily topical) Starz prestige series (rated TV-M), “Counterpart,” starring J.K. Simmons, Olivia Williams, and James Cromwell.
