NQFN#3 Ideas in the Park

Today we had our first Ideas in the Park Thing. It was a great opportunity for everyone to learn who is doing what in the Townsville community. Everyone learned something interesting today, whether it was about the wisdom of another’s culture, some great books to check out or a connection to support a community project, we all enjoyed our time.
We then asked ourselves the question, “how can we create a better community?”
Everyone wrote what this looked like to them in their own words and came up with some practical steps they can take to realise their ideals. After a discussion on what everyone’s thoughts were, they found others who were also keen to work together on their shared goals. Seeing the political maturity everyone had to work together was encouraging and inspiring to the attendees and due to its simplicity and success we will be seeing many more great Things in Townsville to come.
