When things happen to us, we respond to those phenomena through a biblical worldview or a secular one. The Christian starts problem-solving through a biblical lens because their identity is in Christ.
The secular person rejects the spiritual. They are materialists who attempt to numb (blunt) the body to mitigate their problems. Daniel Berger II talks about these two views by looking at the journey of Jordan Peterson.
