GTA Vice City (how to use downloaded Player Skins in gameplay and cutscenes) tutorial

For the program. Here it is

Also short thing, be sure to copy and paste bmp image file into "skins" folder of Vice City, that follows the player skin you downloaded

Short summary, go to GTA Vice City folder, then Models folder and open "GTA3.img" in that program of TXD Workshop

Then replace all "player.dff and play.dff" files with your dff that followed the download.

Then replace all "CSplay.dff" files with the same dff you used.

Now here is the new trick. Search for "player.txd and play.txd and CSplay.txd" files and essentially Replace all those files with the txd file you have in your download. And now your character should look right as a character model and cutscene model.

(PS if you wonder if "dff" files can work for "txd" files? No. I tested and it crashes the game, so dff for dff and txd for txd is more or less if you want this fun experience!

Now you may wonder how this will work with GTA San Andreas? I found a video which is good at explaining it, not tried it but it looks legit. Essentially easiest one if you dont wanna do all the hard work yourself

GTA San Andreas Hard way for model change
To people who wonder how they can do this with GTA San Andreas? (From what i get changing your character is gonna be difficult. Its possible to change the NPCs easily just not you since its face and all that) I found a tutorial online that helped me. Its a mixture of "TXD workshop and PedEditor" So basically it works for other NPCs just not easily for you. Most likely a model installer is your best bet there.

Although if you wanna try to mess with it. My assumption is its "player.img" in the Models folder, thats where its most likely the whole thing with Carl Johnson player model.
Here is maybe something to make it easier for you. I downloaded Terminator 2 model, and it sizes down easily effected changes. So i wish you luck!
