The Dahlberg Flashdancer was originally created to help non-fly fishers use fly fishing equipment to catch Smallmouth Bass. It is a simply fly to tie and in it's simplicity lies it's effectiveness. The colors and structure are similar to any given baitfish but the extra flashabou really draws in the fish. If you like swinging streamers to Smallmouth Bass you need to have a few Flashdancers in your fly box. If you prefer Largemouth Bass, the Flashdancer is a great fly for your favorite lakes and ponds!
