"Blowin' In the Wind," a song written by Bob Dylan, was a major hit for Peter, Paul & Mary in 1963 rising to the #2 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart followed by Stevie Wonder's version, which rose to #9 in 1966 on the same chart (Whitburn, 2013). "The song was inspired by the autobiography titled 'Bound for Glory' by Woody Guthrie who was famous for his intense political statements that he often described as the wind blowing into the streets of New York and newspapers from newsstands blowing all over the place" (gradesaver.com, 2022), additionally, the song was based on the 19th century ex-slave song ‘No More Auction Block’ (T. Attwood, bob-dylan.org.uk, Nov 3, 2008). Dylan claimed that he wrote the song in 10 minutes (history.com, 2020). Peter, Paul & Mary's rendition of the song introduced the world to Bob Dylan's music, who was not yet well known in 1963 (songfacts.com, 2022). In 2011, Rolling Stone magazine ranked the song #14 on its list of "Greatest Song of All Time" and in 1994, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame (A.
