Trudeau: Canada needs mandates “to avoid further restrictions”

The prime minister responded to criticism of his lack of a clear way out of Covid restrictions and to divisive rhetoric used by members of his party.

“This government has been focused every step of the way of following the best science and the best public health advice,” Trudeau said Tuesday.

"Canadians got vaccinated. I can understand frustrations with mandates but mandates are the way to avoid further restrictions,” he continued.
