Girafa

The marine environment is a place very rich in diversity of fauna and flora. In relation to marine animals, there are numerous invertebrates and vertebrates living in this environment.

The term giraffe (from the Arabic zarAfa(t), from the Italian giraffa) is the designation given to artiodactyl, ruminant mammals of the genus Giraffa, of the giraffe family, which includes four species (until 2016, it was considered a single species, the Giraffa camelopardalis, or leopard camel as they were called by the Romans when they existed in North Africa, as they were believed to have come from a mixture of a female camel and a male leopard)[citation needed]. They are ungulates with an even number of toes.
