Catching the Late Show at the Sad Café

Appropriate songs to end the year - JD Souther's "The Safe Cafe" sliding into Jackson Browne's "The Late Show." They collectively sum up 2021. So let's slap a stamp on this year and stick it in a mailbox somewhere so that it can get lost and misdelivered and start fresh with 2022... gotta be a better year, right?

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
