We all feel depressed at one time or another. What does it mean to be depressed? It's an odd word with a vague meaning. Alcohol doesn't cure feelings of depression. It makes them worse. Yes, in the moment you can get yourself so drunk that you're not really capable of thinking straight, thinking about how depressed you feel, but the feelings don't go, they are at best numbed and repressed. I've had too many drunken experiences where alcohol has just made things worse. Alcohol is a depressant after all.
