It's Time To Get Back To The Basics of Love

This time we go Bluegrass first with Ricky Skaggs before sliding into Lukenbach, Texas, with Waylon, Willie and the boys for today's Segue City Special. Ricky sings of not wanting to be all alone as he grows older. Who does, really? Waylon's song actually was a hit on both Country and Pop charts when it was released.

So, this concludes our contractually obligated work this week. The Mayor will stop in and continue this new trend of his presenting segues over the weekend. We'll pick up the tempo again on Monday.

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
