We start with the Oak Ridge Boys and their take on who doesn't want to play rhythm guitar into The Atlanta Rhythm Section, who, by the way, has both a lead and a rhythm guitar player, with their eternal question of where they will end up and just like that today's Segue City Special is here for your listening pleasure. The Mayor is quick to point out that songs like these take on added significance as one gets older, whatever that means. Right now we're in our "we're going to live forever" mode or for at least as long as the paychecks keep cashing...

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same... like snowflakes or something like that...
