The Fed Will Never Defy Expectations

If the Wall Street consensus says the Fed is going to pivot on Wednesday, Powell surely won't disappoint. Don't expect the Fed's newfound hawkishness to last long enough for actual rate hikes to take place. Surely the Wall Street consensus will shift long before that is set to happen in late 2022, and so too the Fed will pivot back.
