MZTV 749 - 07/15/2021: Planet Earth is a Boxing Ring

A boxing ring is a strange place. It is a tiny, roped-off arena where fame and fortune is either won or lost. None of the competitors live in the ring: they don't eat there, sleep there, get married there, or experience even the briefest comfort. Combatants here must be quick as cats—always learning, ever wary, dropping sweat in their suffering yet alert for opportunities.

The earth is a boxing ring for members of Christ's body. It is not our home; how strange to make it that; to make a tiny, rank ring of combat the place where we hang our hats. Rather, this "ring" is, for us, a strange yet necessary battleground where God ensures, via pre-measured conflict, our future glory and fame.

By His grace, we will go the distance and reign victorious.
