Current active school shooter training teaches kids to sit and hide under desk (the sitting duck defense), That was only effective at Columbine for the very people who came up with this flawed response. Teachers often have a real thick desk but in the Columbine massacre, many students were killed hiding under a desk. Terry looks at one example of how fighting back in large numbers will not only decrease school shootings, it will teach kids a more effective way of dealing with a threat than hiding and hoping.
