Rising Rates To Break System Within Months | Alasdair MacLeod

"We have got rising interest rates that are out of control," says Alasdair MacLeod, head of Research at Gold Money. Within months, possibly even weeks, high interest rates could break the system.

Another risk on the horizon is inflation. Central banks around the world underestimated the risk of inflation. "They have lost control over the situation," says MacLeod. The problem comes when people lose faith in the stability of the currency. "We're going to drive ourselves into a situation where money doesn't work anymore," he says. "This is going to be a stampede out of currency."
