Wango, Wango and Shout

Osibisa into Otis Day and the Knights are the ingredients for today's Segue City Special. Everybody recognizes the Otis Day take on "Shout" from Animal House so our running around the studio and screaming "Toga, toga" made perfect sense until the ruckus apparently got the Mayor's attention and he walked in the studio to quiet us down and remind us that we had to get this segue loaded up and that he needed a ride to the garage to pick up his car... that got us shouting in a different way but we won't get into that right now...

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
