Here it is Thanksgiving and we're thankful for everything we have including the endless trivia and music knowledge that fuels this pop stand. Today we're all over the road - the other version of AOR - we start with Hal Kemp and his Orchestra from 1938 with a song that actually holds together well over time. Then we segue into something you don't hear often - John Oates singing lead with Daryl Hall actually doing the backup singing on "Had I Known You Better Then." It's a different sound but it's good...like the aromas emanating from the kitchen with a meal made with love. Here's hoping you have a good Thanksgiving too.

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
