Back when I was a child in Greensboro, North Carolina in the 1950s and 1960s, our parents wanted to know who was on our land or who was in our house. My mama checked every one of our friends out. If you did not pass her investigation, you were not coming in. But once you got in, there was no guarantee that you could stay in. My mother should have been the Border Czar!
