pond ice time-lapse 2/12/22

I estimate this video starts a few hours before dawn on February 12 and then it ends around sundown on February 13. The ice freezing up is fun but I get a special kick out of the robins and the squirrel getting a drink.

The first time I tried this it got much colder which caused problems with my battery (the recording stopped), so I put a chemical hand warmer in with the battery - that worked! A word of caution though - it did cause some condensation in the little storage container with the battery in it, but it didn't lead to a disasters.
