Paul and Helena Work Online Only Now That Paul Is Home After Retiring From The Trucking Industry

Hi I'm Darren, and I'm one half of Darren and Mike, and I've got Paul and Hellena here with me and I'm gonna ask them a couple questions about their online business. So when did you guys start your online business?

It was September 5th, was it, of 2016. 2016 so it's like what, almost four years? Four years yeah.

And what did you guys do before?

I was a owner of a trucking company for since 2004. I've trucked my whole life, but I bought my own company back in 2004, until I retired in 2018, of March. I was opposite world. I was working in like you know, an accounting office. I had my own clients later on, when I decided to take my business and do a different, you know more self-employed type of style. So yeah, always worked in finances. And I used to be a postie as well.

And so both, neither of you do those jobs now, now you only work with your business.

Nope! So I sold my truck in February of 2019, so all gone.

Right, and what is your favorite thing about this business. And how has it changed your life since?

Oh, I want to get that one first. So, since Paul no longer has that trucking business, my life has completely changed. We used to spend like
months apart at a time. And we would travel like you know, we would be in totally different circles right cuz you know, what's the accounting got to do with trucking right? And I never understood anything he said and stuff like that, but anyway so I have him home now. That is probably, probably my favorite thing. You're home. You're not gone for months at a time. No actually it was, it's pretty hard in a marriage, being gone all the time. But my favorite thing about this business is the overhead costs. Being in trucking, I've had some months you spent 10 grand, some you spend 30 grand. This business has next to nothing for overhead costs. So my margin went from this down to this. So that's the best thing that I can say about this, is the overhead cost is, there's nothing. There's a lot less stress For you. A lot less stress, you have nothing to worry about. You just worry about yourselves, you know.
