Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse - preview | d&d news

Wizards of the Coast has just announced their latest update to the monster manual, Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse. In this book they promise to add 30 new playable races and give DMs and players more flexibility to make their own races.

This is the third book in the set of expansion rules for D&D 5e along with Xanathar's Guide to Everything and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. The big question is how will this book hold up in the future? 5e is about ten years old and DnD 6e, or the 50th anniversary edition is due in the next year or two. Will this book bridge the two or become obsolete?
