Mondays can be weird so we decided to go with a segue that is weird. It mixes the Average White Band and Brian Auger and His Oblivion Express. The AWB selection is a love song which the Mayor wanted thrown in but the Auger song is more of a free-form piece that highlights Brian's keyboard mastery. Somehow we made this work and got finished in time to be ready for lunch and the afternoon tee time too. Life can be good that way...

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
