Paul kept pressing on the upward way (Philippians 3:12-14). Paul was not an idle Christian. He did not sit down and snooze on the pew at church. He knew that his spiritual race was not over yet. He understood that the reward of heaven was on the other side of the tombstone.

He kept pressing forward, moving forward, and would not stop until he was in heaven on the other side of the tombstone. Apostle Paul understood that the Christian's retirement is not on this side of the tombstone. Our race is not over until we are in heaven before the throne of God.
