Question:

Hi Dr. Karin! I have been seeing/talking to someone since January. We met and really seemed to hit it off! We talked about how we would love to get to know each other on a deeper level and hung out a few times immediately after.

He is a single dad with two daughters. The girls mom has been having health issues since February which has left him being the solo parent during this time. We have been keeping in contact through daily text messages and occasional phone calls or FaceTime.

I applaud him as I think this says a lot about his character and priorities. I want him to be there for his girls. It has been difficult for me because I would like to get to know him more and it’s hard to do that during text messages.

What are your thoughts, advise?
