Question:

I’ve been dating a guy for the past five months. We grew up with different family incomes.

He told me he wouldn’t be able to provide for my “lavish” lifestyle—for two reasons: he doesn’t currently make enough money and he doesn’t think my lifestyle is sustainable/necessary.

Currently I’m living within my means.

The examples he gives are things like he doesn’t agree with me getting my nails done every two weeks and going out to eat more often than he thinks I should.

We agree we grew up differently.

I wanted to know your thoughts.
