Am I Expecting Too Much from Someone I’m Just Getting to Know?

Question:

When you meet someone who says he’s interested but doesn’t contact you, says”I’ll call you back,” but doesn’t, I write them off as bad checks.

They made a payment that fell short of what they were supposed to do in advance.

Am I too harsh on these interactions or am I moving forward as someone who expect to be treated the way I feel I deserve to be?
