I Asked Him, “Where’s Your Head with Us?”

Question:

I’ve been talking to this guy. We seem to have been making great connections and got along pretty well.

Always staying truthful and honest, I decided to ask where his head was at.

He proceeded to answer with the fact that he doesn’t know how long he will be stationed here and he is not willing to do long distance if things lead to something more between us.

I considered what he said and decided to not continue to talk to him due to the fact that I’m looking for something more stable and serious, and his response seemed like things weren’t going to lead towards that.

However, I am doubting my decision. I feel I may have missed an opportunity to get to know an awesome person and make a deeper connection.

But at the same time, I feel like I did the right thing by standing my ground and setting my standards which is something I hadn’t always done previously.
