I Asked Him, “What Are We?” and Now He Won’t Talk to Me

Question:

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year (long distance).

Last weekend, insecurities came up for me about our ongoing dating without a label and a 1 hour fight resulted in him cutting me out of his life.

He canceled our next trip and refuses to answer my texts or calls.

Reaching out likely only reinforces our anxious avoidant styles and he doesn’t respond.

What do you do when someone refuses to communicate?

I feel powerless and so sad and angry. I want to force him to speak to me but there’s no way to make that happen.
