He Kisses Me But Says He’s Not Interested...

Question:

There’s this guy in my friend group and he’s pretty hard to figure out. He’s told me clearly he’s not interested in me, but when we get drunk we make out and he stays over and we cuddle.

I asked him if we could hang out—just the two of us, and he agreed. But I don’t know if he considered it a date—I’m slightly afraid of asking him; I don’t want to pressure him.

Also, he has bigger issues going on because in January we found out he’s going to be a father. He didn’t tell us, the girl he was hooking up with—when he got very drunk—did. But when he’s sober he didn’t even seem to like her or talk to her.

I don’t feel good about trying to get with him, but he is so nice to be around and I really like him. I’m so confused. Should I stop wanting to be with him, I’d that’s even possible?
