Dating During Covid 19

Question: I recently met a great guy on a dating website. By the time we were ready to meet up IRL, the bars had closed and social distancing began. We try to converse daily, but our conversations are not very interesting. I have tried to ask more probing questions to get to know more about his interests, hobbies, personality, but this feels forced. I feel things would be a lot easier if we were able to meet in person and let that natural chemistry play out. Am I naive to think that our interest in each other could weather a possible several month long quarantine?
