Where is your faith at?
We all go through instances where our faith is shaken up.
Many times throughout life, we don't understand why things happen.
Maybe today you are at a point where you feel like God didn't come through for you or He abandoned you. Your prayer wasn't answered. You experienced loss. Your faith was lost.

1. Faith gives understanding.
Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 3
Your understanding is either enlightened or darkened.
Lean not on your understanding but trust in God.
God’s peace surpasses all understanding.

2. The doctrine of suffering.
Sin brought suffering.
Suffering of Jesus brought salvation.
The reign of Jesus will end suffering.
Suffering will refine us if we don’t let it define us.

3. Dealing with faulty expectations.
A. When I get saved all my suffering will end.

B. The Holy Spirit removes all my suffering.

C. If I have enough faith I will avoid all suffering.
Fear says “what if”; faith says “even if”.
Faith is not bridge over troubled waters, it’s a path through them.
Same faith that enables some to escape trouble enables others to endure it.
Same faith that delivers some from death enables others to die victoriously.

D. Spiritual warfare will remove all my suffering.
Everyone receives the same suffering, but not everyone responds the same during suffering.
