How to Make Guacamole Without Avocado

If you’ve experienced sticker shock while shopping for avocados, you’re not alone. With prices up over 150%, a steady diet of avocado toast might actually keep you from being able to afford a house. There’s a shortage of avocados, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up guacamole completely; you might just have to improvise an alternative. Inside Edition spoke with Glen Rolnick, the chef at Virgil’s Barbeque in Times Square. He says one alternative is hummus. If you want to keep your “mockamole” green, try adding edamame, the japanese soybean.
